Effective 5 September 2026
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data this website collects, what it is used for, who it is shared with and how long it is kept. It applies to qshipworldwide.com and to the forms on it. It does not cover data handled under a freight contract, which is governed by that contract.
Who is responsible for your data?
QShip Worldwide (India) Private Limited, Block A2, Janakpuri, New Delhi, Delhi 110058, India, is the data fiduciary for personal data collected through this website. Questions about this policy go to support@qshipworldwide.com.
What data does the website collect?
- Quote requests: your name, company, email, phone, origin and destination countries, the service you need, a description of the cargo, its approximate weight or volume, and your message.
- Contact messages: your name, email, phone, subject and message.
- Newsletter sign-ups: your email address, and the date you confirmed the subscription.
- Tracking lookups: the tracking number entered, the result, and the time taken, together with the IP address and browser identifier of the request, kept to prevent abuse of the lookup service.
- Attribution: if you arrive from an advert or a campaign link, the campaign parameters in that link, the referring page and the first page you landed on are stored in your browser and attached to any form you later submit, so we know which campaign brought you.
- Technical data: server logs record the IP address, browser identifier, pages requested and errors, as every web server does.
What is the data used for?
- Answering your quote request or enquiry and, if you become a customer, setting up the shipment.
- Sending the newsletter you asked for, after you confirm by clicking the link in the confirmation email.
- Showing you tracking results and protecting the tracking service from automated abuse.
- Understanding which campaigns bring genuine enquiries, so advertising is spent on the ones that do.
- Keeping the website secure and working.
Who is the data shared with?
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
- Brevo (Sendinblue), which sends our transactional and newsletter email and holds the contact list. Brevo processes data on our instructions.
- Our workflow automation, hosted on n8n, which routes new enquiries to the sales team.
- The shipment tracking system, which answers tracking lookups with the status of the number you enter.
- Our hosting provider, which runs the website and stores its database.
- Nobody else, unless the law requires it or you ask us to.
How long is the data kept?
- Quote requests and contact messages: three years from the last contact, so a returning customer's history is available, then deleted.
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe, which every email lets you do in one click. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after thirty days.
- Tracking lookup records: ninety days.
- Attribution data in your browser: until you clear it, and on our side for as long as the enquiry it is attached to.
- Server logs: ninety days.
What are your rights?
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, withdraw consent to the newsletter at any time, and complain to the Data Protection Board of India if you believe we have not handled your data properly.
To exercise any of these, email support@qshipworldwide.com from the address the data relates to. We respond within thirty days.
Does the website use cookies?
The website sets no advertising or third-party cookies. It stores a small amount of data in your browser to remember your theme choice and campaign attribution. The cookie policy lists exactly what is stored.
Is data transferred outside India?
Brevo and the tracking system may process data on servers outside India. Transfers are made to countries that the Central Government has not restricted, under contracts that require the recipient to protect the data.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the effective date at the top is updated. Material changes to how data is used are announced on this page for thirty days before they take effect.
